The KZN Marketplace Trading Platform is an online multi-sectoral, multi-tenancy, web-based trading platform that helps sellers/tenants and potential buyers find each other and start a mutually beneficial interaction that will be accessible via digital devices namely personal computers, laptops, smartphones, mobile computer tablets, etc.

KZN Marketplace has a vision to create inclusive access to the market and sustainable digital platforms for economic growth within the province.

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) is mandated to oversee the socio-economic transformation in the province. It therefore leads the policy and strategic initiatives directed at promoting development and growth in various sectors of the economy.

This platform is ground breaking because it addresses the world’s focus on the fourth industrial revolution whilst giving equal opportunities for all to trade and access the market.

The Department aims to generate economic growth and transformation, which will give rise to the eradication of; poverty, inequality, and unemployment. This is in line with the Department’s vision statement to achieve the attainment of radical transformation, inclusivity, and sustainable economic growth for KZN.
